I have always believed that every piece of timber holds a secret history, just waiting for the right flame to set it free. At BAD Kat Krafts, my process is a slow meditation; I work in harmony with the natural knots and ridges of the wood. Using heat as my brush, I hand-etch each line to ensure your piece captures the wild energy of the forest itself.
Inspired by the Wild Peaks of the Green Mountains
Located in the Vermont woods, my studio uses local maple and birch as a natural canvas. I believe in protecting our environment, so I only use sustainably found wood to make eco-friendly art for your house.
